Gavin Davis was born and raised in Maine, and received a BA in Theater Performance from Wagner College in New York City. Full length plays include PRINCE (The Gene Frankel Theater), YOULL FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU GET THERE, SALTED BRASS (Clauder competition semi-finalist), CLOSE YOUR EYES AND TRY (Stanley Drama Award finalist), WHEN IT GETS COLD AT NIGHT (Endtimes Productions), THE SIDEKICKS LAST SHOW, and THE PAINTING THAT MADE THE MUSEUM (Wagner College Stage One). Short plays include PAINT ME (Primary Stages ESPA), VIOLA (John Chatterton Short Play Lab), SEA GLASS (Wagner College Stage One), and SAUDADE (Created Reality Inc). Gavin is currently writing the book to OCTOBER LIGHT, a new musical with music and lyrics by Edmund Bagnell. Gavin is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

Synopsis:
Part of Detention #4: Punk Rock Star. The Challenge: Five writers were asked to write a play based on mysterious packets provided by Daniel Talbott and Denis Butkus that included punk rock songs, images, and a description of an act of violence or nudity. The writers were then given two weeks to write a 10-minute play based on the provided raw material.
