Childr'N Of "O"
Synopsis:
the iconic image and legacy of Oprah Winfrey serve as the inspiration for the latest performative experiment of Baraka de Soleil/ D UNDeRBeLLY-the dreamlike sci-fi allegory Childr'n of "O". the electronic age transmits its powerful presence through the voice and image of an iconic Black woman figure-'O'. 'O' has the ability to absorb all cultural, social, and economic issues that live inside the 'techno-fabric' of our society while bearing children that will carry forward the legacy of this new millennium's digital consciousness; but what happens when streaming sensory information, organic memories, natural moments of human contact, existence, and interaction overloads the ambient waves of her 'being'? Unfolding through an intricate web of poetic text, deconstructed tv symbolism and gestural language, Childr'n of "O" examines the complexities of our cultural relationships with 'stars', technology. and evolving contemporary society.

First Dark Drama
Synopsis:
enmeshed in afro-post-mod movement, stark visuals, and sonic dissonant compositions, First Dark Drama evokes a dystopic urban world where death is ever-present, yet survival is a must. Throughout the intimate and exposed episodic pathways of this 'dark' environment, orbits the ever-fluid relationship between sensory recall, time and history, embodied in refractions of personal memories excavated from the 'black' consciousness. Inspired by composer Daniel Givens' latest album Day Clear/First Dark.

Synopsis:
In Koool-aid Luv Odyssey, RedRed and his Too-Red-Crew go on a psychedelic odyssey through the mystical legacies of the syrupy sweet, fixating world of La Koool-aid. Witness Cherry and Rouge strut their stuff to DJ-Red-d's live mix of hip electronic, reggae and ambient soundscapes, while Video Guru Red-rum, ritualist Red-emption and Motha Supremes Reddya float in and out of this vibrant collage of afros, saturated colors and raucous testifying. along the way, the passionate impresario RedRed bemoans a poetic riff on the woes, throes, highs and lows of this liquidy substance that comes in only one real flavor: ReD.
