Elizabeth Dement is a playwright, actor and producer. An active member of the Los Angeles theatre community for many years, her plays have been produced and read at The Actors Gang, the Eclectic Company Theatre, the Lillian and 24th Street. Her full-length play, Pogo Noi, was a semi-finalist for the 2011 O'Neill Playwright's Conference, the 2011 ESPA*Drills Reading Series and received a staged reading in 2012 at the Katselas Theatre Company in Los Angeles. Her one-act, Bob Feller, was produced at the Soho Playhouse as a part of their Soho Shorts Series and in May 2011, her full-length play, Sadism So, received a staged reading at Interact Theater Company in LA. A graduate of both Cornell University and the University of Southern California, where she received her MFA in acting, Elizabeth currently splits her time between New York and Los Angeles, and studies playwriting and screenwriting at Primary Stages. She also works as a reader for the Literary Wing of the Lark Play Development Center. She is currently at work on a screenplay called Fabulist Summer, a coming of age story which takes place in and around an exclusive Poconos country club during the Summer of 1962.
