Martin Dimery developed an interest in writing plays whilst working on an original production with the National Youth Theatre in 1973. He went on to teach Drama and work in theatre management, founding the youth theatre company at the Theatre Royal, Bath. Many of his early plays were written for youth theatre- aged groups, including "Terms of Engagement", the first to be published. He has also written plays for fringe theatre companies, and numerous articles in newspapers including The Guardian, Times Educational Supplement, The Independent and The Stage. Martin Dimery's book "Being John Lennon" about life touring in a long running Beatles show, was published by SAF in 2002. He continues to perform and write, and is currently Creative Director of the Frome Festival in Somerset.

Bombshells

Synopsis:
This light romantic musical, set in the 1940's, centres on a group of girls who work in a munitions factory. Four of them form a vocal group to entertain the troops but the Blitzkreig destroys the partnership, shatters ambitions and cuts across boundaries.
