Beginning, A Middle And An End, A
Synopsis:
a beginning, a middle and an end, that's how things go, provided you start in the right place. For Evelyn and ade time passes; sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes all at once, but always away from what was and relentlessly towards what will be. their little family of two, of four, of three, of one, not necessarily in that order, travels together towards a new beginning, or an old ending. Or both. Only time will tell.

It's Only Words
Synopsis:
Mrs Moore has locked herself in a cubicle of the public toilet. A toilet covered with graffiti. You could almost classify them, like in a library. Though a lot would be in the pornography' section of course. Not that she's ever seen that in a library. She muses on life, love, libraries and literature, while WPC Hay struggles womanfully to find a way of persuading her to leave. What is the secret which has brought Mrs Moore to this place? And to this point in her life? And what about Joe? . .

Mnemonic
Synopsis:
-
Notes:
One city, 50 writers, 50 plays, 25,000 words. In celebration of our 50th anniversary, we invited fifty emergent playwrights to work with us over the course of our birthday year. the worldwide search for the Traverse Fifty started last September with a challenge to write a 500-word Play for Edinburgh. Of the 630 applications, we selected the most urgent voices to form our Traverse Fifty. In January, these 50 plays were premiered all together, in one epic performance. This August, in the midst of our Festival Fever, we are re-staging these extraordinary plays, over two thrilling nights. This is your chance to see the future.

Threads
Synopsis:
A play about women, work, and knitting. Threads weaves the stories, historical, verbatim, and imagined into a multi-stranded piece of theatre using music, song and dance. From 19th Century millworkers to modern day knitting clubs, writer Sylvia Dow brings to life the history of knitting in the borders and the threads of life, fate and destiny which bind us all. The play is the outcome of a longer project Knit Two Together, hosted at Heart of Hawick (2012) and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), in which Stellar Quines and Sylvia Dow engaged the local community and their stories in the development of the play.
