Edward Elefterion is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Rabbit Hole Ensemble. His play A ROPE IN THE ABYSS, about traumatic brain injury and the fluid nature of identity, was produced by Rabbit Hole Ensemble and inaugurated their Theatre for Communities project by touring to various underserved Brooklyn neighborhoods and performing for free. Other plays produced by Rabbit Hole Ensemble include THE SIBLINGS, an apocalyptic version of the Grimm Fairy Tale Hansel and Gretel, and BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES, a 9/11 play exploring the unforgiving power of information. While living in England, he worked with the Midlands Refugee Council and was commissioned to write two plays: NOBODY YOU KNOW and A REFUGEE STORY. As a director, Edward has over two decades of experience working with playwrights and directing new plays. He has been nominated numerous times for his directing and lighting design work and won the New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Director in 2008. He is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SDC), the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, The Usual Suspects (New York Theatre Workshops emerging artist group), and teaches acting and Biomechanics at Hofstra University where he as been an adjunct professor since 2001. He has a BFA from New York University and an MFA from Indiana University.

Synopsis:
What is the meaning of fate and chance? Does the universe have intention or is everything random? August Strindberg endlessly struggled with the forces of fate while still embracing the whimsy and creative insight of chance. Inspired by Strindbergs struggle and his search for answers through Dramatic experiments with structure and theme, Rabbit Hole ensemble focuses on the turning point of his career known as his Inferno crisis. Alone invites audiences to spy in secret on Strindberg and share in his private experiences as he struggles to understand the meaning of fate and chance in his life and art. the production features Rabbit Hole ensembles signature minimalism: specific physical work, hand-held lighting, live sound, musical elements, and deceptively simple design.

Synopsis:
Using humor and its signature minimalist aesthetic, Rabbit Hole ensemble tells the story of four people whose identities are changed by brain injury, and of the friends and relatives who must deal with these sudden strangers. Hugh suffers from severe amnesia which leaves his past and even his present erased, Lori suffers an aneurysm and wakes up from her coma a completely different person, Russ is in prison for a murder he doesn't remember committing (but what happens when he does remember?), and Mollie has seizures that the doctors want to control with a little rewiring in her brain-but what will that do to her soul?
