Lynne Elson is an award-winning playwright and much sought-after teacher. Her plays have been produced in New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles and NebraskA. She has won numerous awards including the Great Platte River Playwrights' Festival for Stolen Glorie. She is a founding member of the Stage One Playwrights Unit of Passage Theatre Company where her plays, Be the Change, Seven in Heaven, and My Abraham were recently produced. Ms. Elson's work appears in audition Monologs for Student actors II by Meriwether Publishing Co. Ms. Elson is also a teacher of Theatre and filmmaking for junior high school students. She directs the Drama club production each year. In her spare time, she is either teaching yoga or kayaking.

Synopsis:
What if a car accident took your ability to do what you most loved to do? Thats what happened to Jacob, who can no longer dance or hug his children. He wants to die, but his rehab nurse wont let him. Sparks fly between them, but will it be enough to ignite his will to live again? Or does the spirit of Martha Graham, have to force him to keep marching in order to be more alive than the others? This four-character play, is an uplifting drama about our innate need for passion in order to be fully alive.

Holiday Shmoliday
Synopsis:
Samson is forced to find a "cool" Chanukah song for his choir to sing or else the school bully will beat him up. at first Samson is reluctant to celebrate his Jewish roots, but with a surprise visit from a magical Dreidel Man, he goes on a journey exploring other cultures' celebrations of the holidays. Through his travels, and with the help of his pet fish, Gefilte, Samson gains self-confidence and finds a new respect for his heritage. He finally returns home, equipped with an original holiday song, and faces the choir bully.
