David was born in Aldershot in 1986 to Welsh parents. At the age of 11 he moved with his family to South Wales where he learned to sing and act as part of the schools Eisteddfodau, Concerts and Musicals. Between 2004 and 20007 he attended The University of Wales, Aberystwyth before gaining a place at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. In 2011 his play "Darkest Hours" was shortlisted for the Pulse New Writing Award and in 2013 his play "Tea with Mamgu" was received its premiere at The London Welsh Centre before being performed at theatres across Wales. In 2014 "Valentines" also received its premier at The London Welsh Centre. David is currently working on several pieces including "I-Polar", a piece about what it is to suffer with Bipolar, as well as a family piece called "Story with No Name" for performances in 2017.

Tea With Mamgu
Synopsis:
I'm just waiting for my friends I am. They'll be here now in a minute. As Jinny's mind starts to wonder we catch a glimpse of her past and her present, trapped between memories of her youth and the knowledge that she has lost her grandson Dylan, or worse that she herself is lost. The production explores what it might be like to suffer from Dementia both as a patient and as a career.

Synopsis:
Examining 100 years of LGBT world history focusing socio-cultural and socio-political factors such as the intolerance, acceptance, prejudice and inclusion of the LGBT community. We will examine how love has been celebration by LGBT people and how over time the celebrations have changed, evolved and stayed the same.
