Robert Alan Evans is a writer, director and devisor working across the UK. He has written extensively for young people including Kes, Caged, Pobby and Dingan (winner TMA award), The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk (winner of the prix d'Orpheon) and Kappa for Catherine Wheels Theatre Company; The Dark, a thriller for teenagers; a radical retelling of Peter Pan and The Sleeping Beauties for Sherman Cymru and Mikey and Addie for the London 2012 Festival. His work for adults includes A Girl in a Car with a Man for the Royal Court theatre, Aruba, The Cracks, Ignition and Tiger/Tiger Tale - two dance pieces co-created with choreographer Natasha Gilmore. Synopsis:
Beauty and the Beast will never get on. He licks his hands, stands on the toilet and runs through the woods. She carries a hankie, never gets mud on her shoes and always remembers to send a thank you note. So how come, when she sees him run like that, when he brings down a deer, when they sit at night just watching the stars, how come her heart starts to spin? Beauty and the Beast will never get on. Will they? Caged is a story about two people trapped together, and finding more freedom than they ever imagined. Caged is recommended for all beauties and beasts aged 8 and over.

Ignition
Synopsis:
Ignition was a National Theatre of Scotland project on Shetland which aimed to examine Shetland's relationship with the car. This blossomed in many ways; from the setting up of a 'mak and yak' knitting group by writer Jacqui Clark to our very own in-house hitch hiker Lowri Evans. Stories were collected and shared from October 2012 to February 2013 and resulted in a final show at the end of March 2013.

Mikey and Addie tells the story of a boy who slowly uncovers the truth about his father. Since he was little Mikey has believe his dad is working for NASA. Floating far away on a top secret mission. However, when he runs into the ever practical and truth telling Addie his dreams are shattered. As the two become inextricably linked they go on a search that will end with Mikey knowing the truth and Addie realising that there's more to life than following the rules.

Pobby And Dingan
Synopsis:
Set in contemporary Australia it is a timeless sort of tale from the outback. the Williamson family live in Lightning Ridge, New South Wales. It is opal territory, and the Father is trying to stake his claim and strike it rich. Like most in the area he is fairly unsuccessful. there are two children: young ashmol, who narrates the story, and his younger sister, Kellyanne. and there are two other significant characters, Pobby and Dingan, Kellyanne's imaginary friends. Unfortunately, things take a bad turn when it appears that Pobby and Dingan are, as Kellyanne tearfully announces, "maybe-dead."
