Globophobia
Synopsis:
So, what're you afraid of? Some fears are rational. Some are buried deep since childhood. Some are downright strange. Seven characters share stories of anxiety, coincidence and missed connections. Dark, daft and sometimes devastating, Globophobia explores common and uncommon fears, and wonders what the hell we're meant to do about them anyway. In a collaborative project featuring a large ensemble cast and stories by two emerging Scottish playwrights, Urban Fox pack big ideas into an intimate, inventive performance. Take an offbeat look at the dark and the light of love, life and growing up, optimism, pessimism and bursting balloons.

This August, in the midst of our Festival Fever, we are re-staging these extraordinary plays, over two thrilling nights. This is your chance to see the future.

Safeword
Synopsis:
Everybody lives a double life. For some it's a game. For anxious artist Isobel, it's self-preservation. A dark, daft fairytale of trust, truth, lust and love, Safeword is a true story, only every word is a lie. Urban Fox Theatre is an Edinburgh based theatre company, specialising in new writing and collaboration. They are returning to the Fringe with their second production, following success last year with Globophobia. This talented bunch are definitely going places (ThreeWeeks). A stunning, thought-provoking piece that has some quite fabulous performances (Stage). There really is something special here (Scotsman).
