He created (as playwright, actor, and pianist) the role of American composer George Gershwin for the theatrical stage in the stage play George Gershwin Alone. Combining the craft of acting and concert-level piano performance, George Gershwin Alone was followed by the creation of the role of Fryderyk Chopin, the Polish composer/pianist, the roles of Ludwig van Beethoven and Gerhard von Breuning in Beethoven, As I Knew Him, Leonard Bernstein in Maestro Bernstein, Franz Liszt in Musik, and Irving Berlin in Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin. These works comprise "The Composer Sonata." - wiki

Hershey Felder As Irving Berlin

Synopsis:
Hershey Felder brings to life the remarkable story of Irving Berlin, "America's Composer." From the depths of anti-Semitism in Czarist Russia to New York's Lower East Side, and ultimately all of America and the world, Berlin's story epitomizes the American Dream. Featuring the composer's most popular and enduring songs from "God Bless America" and "Always" to "White Christmas" and beyond, Hershey's masterful creation of character and musical performance is an unforgettable journey. As Jerome Kern famously said, "Irving Berlin has no place in American music - he is American music."

Pianist Of Willesden Lane, The

Synopsis:
The fact-inspired play with music is set in 1938 Vienna. The Pianist of Willesden Lane "tells the story of Lisa Jura, a young Jewish pianist who is dreaming about her concert debut at the storied Musikverein concert hall," according to Geffen notes. "But with the issuing of new ordinances under Nazi regime, everything for Lisa changes, except for her love of music and the pursuit of her dream. Featuring some of the world's most beloved piano music played live, The Pianist of Willesden Lane is performer Mona Golabek's true family story, chronicling hope, survival and how through our darkest times, music has the power to help us survive."
