Lisa Ferber is prolifically creative. Her paintings and illustrations have shown at National arts Club, Location One, Governors Island art Fair, Manhattan Borough President's Office, and other galleries, and have sold to private collectors. She paints and draws whimsical, satirical scenes, influenced by her fascination with humanity. Her plays and songs have been performed at La Mama, The Duplex, The Brick, Theater for the New City, and other venerable locations, and her play "Bonbons for Breakfast" was a New York magazine "notable production." Her play "Lisa Ferber's 'an Evening With Molly Hadafew'" is published in "The Book of Estrogenius 2008." She studied lyric writing with the Tony-honored BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Program, and her film "The Celery Stalker" toured US film festivals. Her stories have been read at Dirty Laundry, Barbes, and she was featured in the KGB evening "People Who Get More Done Than I Do." She appeared in the final film of underground icon Doris Wishman,"Each Time I Kill," featuring cameos by filmmaker John Waters and B-52s vocalist Fred Schneider. She made her singing debut in the musical "Whimsellica's Grand Inheritance," which she wrote with Emmy-nominated composer Robert Firpo-Cappiello. "Whimsellica's Grand Inheritance" was then turned into a film, screenplay by and featuring Ms. Ferber, and was the winner of audience vote and a judges' top-three finalist in the Indie Pix Films "It Came From You" contest. She co-composed the music to match her lyrics on "You Left Me for a Tranny and I'm Still Drinkin'" and "Married Don't Mean Unavailable." She was a guest celebrity on WVOX Radio and was profiled on BroadwayafterDark.com.

Bonbons For Breakfast
Synopsis:
Bon vivant artist Wimbly and his fashionista playwright girlfriend Toots plan an art project to cover New York City's Riverside Park in red licorice. The couple is devastated by the fact that their sommelier, Schmutzy, has run off and left them, and they feel helpless to go on. Little do they know that Schmutzy has been lured away by Wimbly's lovable Society benefactors Merciful and Miniver Dalrymple, who feel they are doing the right thing as they are able to offer a more comfortable lifestyle. Meanwhile, Boz (the art world's It Boy until the sardine fiasco) feels distraught that his earnest approach to art is overshadowed by the trendsters, and his headstrong wife Margaret launches a march to show the evils of Wimbly's project.
