The Flanagan Collective are a rolling, strolling rag tag bunch of writers, musicians, makers and performers, and associate company at York Theatre Royal. Our signature show Beulah premiered in 2012 and has been touring the UK ever since - we set up shop in pubs, bars, halls, gardens, churches, railway arches, front rooms and even the occasional theatre. We care passionately about people and about community; we care about everyone having a good night out together; we care about making transporting work which asks people to imagine the world a little warmer, a little brighter and perhaps with a little more magic. Our shows are often characterised by storytelling mixed with soaring folk music, and an honest relationship with the audience. We're as likely to be found in a country pub as we are a posh theatre.

Fable
Synopsis:
A woman runs so fast she bursts in to a million pieces. A man stands at the end of a pier, looking up at the stars. FABLE is a show about where we are and where we'd like to be - about our childhood dreams and what, here and now, we are left with. Two people meet on the far west coast of Scotland and change each other profoundly. A show about what we believe in, what we stand for and what we can change. A fable wound from spoken word, storytelling and live music. Inspired by a real village in the Scottish Highlands.
