Ladislas Fodor (28 March 1898 in Budapest , September 1 1978 in Los Angeles) , also Ladislas Fodor , Ladislaus Fedor , Ladislao Fodor , Laszlo Fodor , Laszlo Fodor , or László Fodor ) was a Hungarian writer and screenwriter . He worked as a journalist in Budapest and since the early 1920s, wrote several comedies for the stage. For the first time one of his pieces was called A csodadoktor filmed 1926. Since the early 1930s, several film adaptations of his works were released by Germany, Britain, France and the U.S. in particular. Fodor repeatedly put the film before its own summary. He was living in Vienna , which he in March 1938 after the " Anschluss left "for being Jewish. Fodor emigrated to France and from there to the United States. Where he was involved in Hollywood as a co-author of several screenplays. In the 50s, he returned to Europe and settled towards the end of the decade in the Federal Republic of Germany. Particularly producer Artur Brauner put him again and again as co-writer on one of his projects, including in the elaborate two-piece Die Nibelungen and fight for Rome . - Wiki
