SKYLAR FOX is a director, playwright, and actor based both in Boston, MA and Providence, RI. Recent writing credits include Heist Play (Brown University Mainstage), The Frito-Lay Project (Ars Nova), The Retardedly Boring Misadventures of Apathy Boy (The Brick, 2015 ONeill Finalist), The Last of the Living Jeffersons (Named the runner up for the Gaffney Playwriting Prize, administered by La Jolla Playhouse and UCSD), The Archives (Fort Point Theatre Channel) and A Brief Informational Session on What Used to Be Central Park (Everyday Inferno, NYC). His short play A Wake for Davids Fucked-up Face won the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Play Festival this last year, and is published by Samuel French. He is the founding artistic director of The Circuit Theatre Company in Boston, where he has directed nine productions over the course of the last five seasons. Most recently, he directed a critically acclaimed workshop of a new commission by award-winning playwright John Kuntz entitled The Annotated History of the American Muskrat, the Boston premieres of the 6-hour genre bending hero epic The Valentine Trilogy and of Sarah Ruhls epic, Passion Play, for which he was nominated for an IRNE Award. Other directing credits include Providence premieres of The Aliens by Annie Baker and The Hotel Nepenthe by John Kuntz, as well as Enron by Lucy Prebble, Sunday in the Park with George by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, and the world-premiere production of Minuet: a lullaby by Seth Simons.
