Kernel Of Sanity
Synopsis:
In a small Midwestern city in the late 1970s, a young actor, on his way from New York to California, takes a detour for a surprise visit to a crucial confrontation with a veteran actor-an actor he's worked with in only one play, but to whom he's found himself inexorably, if nearly unwittingly, attached. In a taunt, tense 90 minutes, three people-a black man, a white man, and a white woman-clash over their contradictory senses of marginalization and betrayal and their contrasting perceptions of illusion and reality.

Smouldering Fires
Dashaun never gets through a school day without getting into trouble. Corey is a grade A student. Yet they become friends. They are learning about the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. Their neighbourhood is rife with drugs and anti-social behaviour and they want to do something about it. Dashaun however starts to waiver and is attracted to the money that a drug dealer is offering if he sells drugs too. Dashaun has a dream in which Corey takes him back to the time of Martin Luther King. Next morning he is fully onside with Corey to fight to save the neighbourhood
