Nick Gandiellos plays include Oceanside (Merrimack Repertory Theatre), Sunrise Highway (Ojai Playwrights Conference), and Black Fly Spring (Xavier University). He is the 2015 Page 73 Playwriting Fellow. Nick is an alum of the Ars Nova Play Group. His work has been presented or developed by Williamstown Theatre Festival, Premiere Stages, Capital Stage, The Claque, Wide Eyed Productions, Crashbox Theatre Company, and others. Nick was the Literary Manager of Young Playwrights Inc. from 2012 to 2015, for which he led playwriting workshops in NYC, Virginia, and Miami. As a Teaching Artist, he has worked with Naked Angels and the New School for Drama. MFA Playwriting, the New School for Drama.

Off the Realness
Synopsis:
addy, a white rapper from the suburbs, has a shot at a record deal with rap star K-Raise if he can nail an upcoming concert, but he worries that he can't prove his 'Realness' without the help of his estranged brother, Ty. When he lures Ty back into the world of the gangster image he left behind, it forces them both to confront truths about the source of the violence in addy's lyrics and life. as they prepare for the concert, addy struggles to find a definition of 'Real,' Ty slips deeper and deeper into his old ways, and the brothers' identities and the nature of Hip-Hop today are called into question.
