After the Show
Synopsis:
*Festival award Winner* a conflict of opinion is layed bare when the ambitious Stephens is confronted by two punks, Blue and Zita, in the hotel foyer which he manages. the P.O.V is offered to the audience who represent society, and who can choose to identify with the pro or anti aspect of the characters, as they accuse and defend their beliefs. the sub plot is that of individual responsibility, reflecting the attitudes of right and wrong, judged by society (the audience). there are no winners, but there is a price to pay, as the past catches up on Stephens and the present catches up with Blue, trapped by probation. even Zita's victory is hollow, as she faces the future without her two friends, Kirsty and Blue. This easy to stage play provides strong roles for both female and male parts, with plenty of scope for artistic licence.

I Almost Knew Ivor Novello
Synopsis:
This is Paul Gater's second collection of scripts for individual actresses. the characters vary from Belma, the retired theatrical to Franny, who late in life finds that fairy tales can still come true. In performance, the scripts range from five to ten minutes. Gwenda Hughes, artistic Director of Staffordshire's New Vic theatre, wrote in her Foreword that Paul's collection of '. . . deceptively simple short pieces offers the opportunity to explore text and character with delicacy and precision.' 'I almost Knew Ivor Novello' and the other scripts in this book offer mature actresses, particularly, the pleasure of six more starring roles.

Name's Penn, Dingle Penn
Synopsis:
*Festival award Winner & Writing award Winner* as played by adults, Gloria, Ted, and Cindy are beastly children. Spoiled, sullen, brutal - they are trapped in a childhood subject to whim and the casual cruelty of their parents. embroiled in resentment, Mother and Father can not see the damage they do. the conflict erupts during a family day out in the park. Pushed beyond endurance, the children act. Bitingly funny and truly shocking, "the Children's act" will cause many a complacent parent to squirm in recognition. the easily realised set and finely drawn characters make this thought-provoking play an ideal choice for either Festival or Fringe production.
