Gecko was founded in 2002 by amit Lahav and al Nedjari. Both were previously members of the David Glass ensemble, the experimental Theatre company with a strong record of international participatory projects with marginalised young people. Gecko leapt to international attention with Taylor's Dummies in Edinburgh Showcase 2003. Comic and touching, physically exuberANT yet strangely surreal, with circus skills used to imaginative effect, the piece toured to nine countries and was voted Best Performance Off-West end by Time Out Live awards.

Arab And the Jew, The
Synopsis:
a two-man show in which Lahav and Nedjari move away from ensemble work and explore their relationship as performers and friends. With almost no text, they tell a story of brotherhood, loyalty and conflict, as seen through the mist of their own arab and Jewish backgrounds. Beneath striking physical and visual images of nostalgia and chaos, there is a subtext of complex, deep-rooted allegiances simmering beneath the surface. On tour, they hope to include local people in non-performing roles, creating a unique link with audiences and communities.

Synopsis:
Imagine what Hieronymus Bosch might make of the modern rat race, and you have something of the flavour of this show. It depicts life as an obstacle course, with steeply raked planks to negotiate and hazardous bungee ropes attached to one's back. - Garner, Guardian

Taylor's Dummies
Synopsis:
Imagine Vertigo directed by David Lynch and performed by De La Guarda to the riffs of 1950s jazz. This is a show for those who loathe the predictable, love the unexpected and crave an adrenaline hit. eloquently crafted to music and highly physical, Taylor s Dummies plunges the depths of male desire, creating deeply funny scenes that are stunningly Dramatic while seemingly impossible to perform. Inventively multi-dimensional, the performers walk up walls, fly through the air and bring dolls and dummies to life. Sweaty, original and unmissable
