Born in Nigeria, Joy went to both Queen Mary and City University for her first and second degrees, garnering knowledge in film and writing. When Joy isn't writing, she's producing films. Joy's work reflects her cultural background having grown up in Nigeria, Brunei and UK. She seeks to tell socially conscious stories that allow people to think, exploring other alternatives where possible. She aims to be able to tell more of her stories worldwide focusing predominantly on women and the issues surrounding female identity and exploitation.
