Sweethearts
Synopsis:
Five young adults leave home for the first time. Each one finds they are on their own. But when they arrive at university, they are somehow destined to find each other. They form a passionate and exclusive friendship that soon becomes an unbreakable bond. So when two of them suddenly grow into more than 'just friends', tensions erupt; and on Valentine's Day the other feel compelled to take drastic action. Friends become allies in a battle to survive. Sweethearts is a gripping psychological thriller exploring the dynamic nature of love in all its forms - platonic, familial, sexual and romantic. We hear four different sides of the same story through monologues that conflict and collude as each character vies for our attention.
