Are You With Us?

Synopsis:
Are you With Us? Is an improvised performance where Gob Squad ask each other all the questions they are afraid to ask in private, in public. It's part group therapy, part performance nightmare. By turns brutally funny and painfully honest, it's a high stakes game on the verge of a breakdown. Stuck in an endless photo-shoot-cum-therapy-session, the performers change their look from flight attendants to terrorists and more, searching for a group identity where everyone has found their place. Are you With Us? is a performance for anyone who has buried what they really want to say to their colleagues, family or team-mates. Anything can go wrong. Everything is at stake. So, are you with us?

Revolution Now!

Synopsis:
the Gob Squad demand a Revolution. Now. the first steps have been taken: the theatre has been stormed and is now the revolutionaries HQ: access to props, weapons, explosives and special effects secured; the box office has been occupied. all without bloodshed. So far. . .equipped with cameras, live links, big screens, wireless transmitters and long, long cables we'll be broadcasting the revolution out into the world. This revolution will be televised. Live. With the help of the audience as well as passers-by revolutionary moments are re-enacted in an attempt to write ourselves into history. Succeed or fail, the cameras keep rolling. We might lose the plot, we might have to rethink and recast, we might hopelessly disagree as to our ultimate goals. In the search for clarity we are faced with the same questions. Whose side are we on? What do we want and how far are we prepared to go? No stopping us now as Gob Squad dust off revolutions past from the archives of history and place them back in the present, right in the middle of our contemporary society.

Super Night Shot

Precisely one hour before you arrive, Super Night Shot begins. In a military-style brief, Gob Squad declares a "War on anonymity" and takes to New York City streets armed with video cameras, embarking on a set of comic and surreal adventures that celebrate unexpected encounters with strangers. Western Society

Synopsis:
A random internet encounter with a videoclip of a family karaoke party was the catalyst for this performance. Gob Squad, dripping in bling, want to bring this little moment of lived reality back to life and they want to get the image just right. As the performers ask questions, search for answers and spill their stories - reconstructing this tiny piece of history over and over again - a few lucky audience members may win the chance to take part in the shiny golden image. Suitable for 18+. Running time: 1hr 30mins. Gob Squad is a seven headed monster, an arts collective with seven bosses, based in Berlin & Nottingham. Their new show Western Society is a portrait of civilisation in the 21st century, a frame through which we can peep into the living room of an unknown family and recognize ourselves.
