Sharon Goldner is in love with the alphabet. There. She said it. Wrote it. She wrote it but she says it too, only if you are reading this right now you probably can't hear her saying it, but she does. All the time. Needless to say, the gym teachers thrilled in writing Chosen Last for Teams in Gym all over her permanent record. The interesting thing is that upon her graduation with a BA in English from the University of MD, College Park, no prospective employers ever asked if she could climb a rope. Or do a forward or backward roll either. Weird, don't you think? Anyway, Sharon has taken her love for manipulating the alphabet and turned it into plays. Little plays. Big plays. Plays, plays, plays. Nineteen theaters from Off Broadway to California (and all in-between) have proven to Sharon that the whole rope climbing business doesn't matter because thus far, there have been twenty-eight productions of her work; four publications of her plays (not to mention the over thirty short stories that have been published); several awards; and one fellowship with a theater in Newfoundland, Canada, where Sharon was one of only three playwrights chosen for the honor, world-wide. So right about now Sharon wants to say, "Take that, gym teachers!" But she's too nice and polite to say it, so she'll just think it. And she's thinking it, too. Really, really hard.
