Good Place, The
Synopsis:
Helen Molloy, the proprietor of Walsh's Tavern, encourages her customers to express their views on all things political, from racism to health insurance: "These people tell me they haven't had the breaks and maybe they're right; or maybe they have and just fucked things up! Don't matter to me one way or the other. They need a place to scream, better they do it here than to four walls in an empty apartment." But the high rise condominiums and trendy sports bars that have taken over what was once a working-class community have decided Walsh's as a "blight" on the neighborhood, and have pressured the politicians to close it down. Helen Molloy attempts to keep Walsh's open, and her patrons struggle to hold onto their family, their jobs, and their dignity during a crippling recession.
