Marked Tree

Synopsis:
In a grim backwater town in 1912. Amanda is fleeing from an abusive husband. She is taken in by a kind hearted prostitute. Amanda meets Arthur the son of a drug riddled farmer. They begin an affair which becomes more and more passionate. Amanda gets pregnant and they decide to run away. On the way to the station Amanda is murdered and her body stuffed into a well on Arthur's father's property
