Synopsis:
a modern adaptation of Iranian epic story of Sudabeh and Siavash, similar to the story of Pahaedra. Sudabeh is today's Iranian woman who confronts the gender inequality, and questions the complication of love, passion, liberation and boundaries.

Doll Behind the Curtain, A

an adaptation of Sadegh Hedayat's short story of the same title. This play emphasizes a young man's fascination for a silent statue behind a boutique's window in Paris. Infatuated by her mysterious beauty, he pays all his saving to own this soulless mannequin. the play explores the complexity of love, sexuality and intimacy from the perspective of an eccentric man, torn in between tradition and modernity.

Synopsis:
I'm Not an Exceptionalist! is about an encounter between three women of three different backgrounds in a bus stop. It's an intersection of commonality and conflicts. The play raises this question: Why do some marginalized Pink Collar women who would think they could never break out of the pink-collar ghetto, put their hostilities on other races and working class immigrants while they are trapped by the same corporate organizations that exploit and control them? How would they find their common ground?

Maryam's Pregnancy

Synopsis:
Set in Iran during the Iran-Iraq war, Maryam a 17 year-old girl who identifies herself with Rapunzel, gets pregnant out of wedlock. To protect her from brutal punishment in a male-dominated society, her mother locks her up in a dark cellar. after 7 months of loneliness, fear and hunger, she gives birth and then murders her baby.

Metamorphosis

Set in Paris in 1980s, is about a distressed woman artist who crosses the border, takes refuge in France after the execution of her husband by a totalitarian regime. Melancholic and in despair, she meets a French journalist who had been reporting during the height of political events in her country. In the intensity of sharing her past, love grows between them, culminating in an explosion of dazzling creativity.

My Name Is Inanna

Synopsis:
the main character Inanna, retrieved from the historical texts, the Sumerian goddess of love, justice and civilization, is a modern Middle eastern woman who is in search of identity, justice and freedom, leaves her mother country, where she had been imprisoned there under the dictatorial regime for several years until she flees the country in search of freedom. after receiving a political asylum in the U.S., dreaming of democracy, she practices the expression of freedom of speech. But she faces new forms of sexism, racism and false-democratic slogans. It is a crucial historical moment after September 11, and she is being arrested for her opposition to war in the Middle eastern region. Handcuffed alone in a holding area, she speaks for 55 minutes, reliving her experiences of politics and incarceration in her native country, as well as those of her newly adopted country
