Tyler Grimes is a writer/actor/educator/amateur yo-yo maker and recent graduate from New York University with a degree in Educational Theatre. Born in New York and raised in South Florida, Tyler first began writing with the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. His short play "Meat." was a finalist for the 2011 Heideman Award from the Actors Theatre of Louisville. His first full-length play "Ahoy, Abel Brown!" received a reading at Chelsea Studios in 2011. "Transylvania Beach, Kentucky" marks the first time he has been published. While at NYU several of his short plays were fortunate enough to have been given full productions, some include: "eternalism," "Hazel Green & The Mystery at Grendel Lair," "Pockets and Thud vs. The Almighty Beyond," and "The GraveRobbers."
