John Grimshaw (aka Johnny Grim) is a Perth (Western Australia) based playwright. Finding it difficult to interest local theatres in new works, Johnny set-up 'A lad in sane productions' as a vehicle for showcasing his self-penned material. Since staging their debut production of 'The Karaoke Twist,' at Perth's Old Mill Theatre (2006) A lad in sane have gone on to rack up thirteen locally produced productions. In addition, Johnny has enjoyed further success by having plays listed with Moore Books (Adelaide, South Australia), and Lazy Bee Scripts, (Hampshire, England.) Johnny's ambition remains the same as from whence he started in that he hopes one of his plays could one day grace Perth's beautiful 'His Majesty's' Theatre.' Like most playwrights, Johnny dreams of being in a position whereby he could escape his day job to write and stage his works on a full or part-time basis.
