3606/202
Synopsis:
3606/202 begins in 1942 with the internment of an Italian born Australian citizen who, because of his wealth and prominence within the Italian community of Cairns, is alleged to be able to organise acts of sabotage against the Australian nation. Italy at this stage was considered an enemy of Australia and those of Italian descent were considered enemy aliens. act two leaps forward in time and deals with the disintergrating relationship of a man and a woman. the short, sharp scenes jump for time and era through decades as the couple break up and serve to intentionally disorienate and dislocate the audience from what they imagined the play might be about. act three launches further into the future with the Italian man in act 1 and the man in act 2 meeting. they are grandFather (Nonno) and grandson. the time is post apocalyptic. and they are on a journey to reach the last place on earth where life is possible.

Ashen Sky
Synopsis:
Inspired structurally by Caryl Churchill's 'Far away', 3606202 is ultimately about war, what we do to one another and the notion that if we start at one point such as the depravation of liberty it's but a short and slippery slide to acts of depravity we witness today which are linked to any war during any lifetime. act 1 is before the war. act 2 is during the war. act 3 is after the war.

August Moon, The
Synopsis:
The August Moon is an anti-verbatim verbatim play, using high-end sound and visual multi-media technology to enhance the dramatic performance. Two playwrights, Adam Grossetti and Jean Marc Russ, travel to Innisfail in the aftermath of cyclone Larry to investigate the death of a caravan park resident. The two writers set off on a boys' own adventure in the hope of 'bagging a play'. They record their entire journey using digital video and voice recorders. Their recorded 'verbatim' experience with individuals they meet in Innisfail, now struggling to rebuild their lives post-cyclone, then becomes the play The August Moon.

Mano Nera
Mano Nera is set in Ingham, Far North Queensland in the 1930's. Based on fact it follows the lives of a number of Italian criminals who used violence and threats to extort large sums of money from their fellow migrant countrymen. Trading on the fear Mano Nera (Black Hand) held for his fellow countrymen Vincenzo D'agostino, the leader of the gang, was said to be responsible for numerous murders, acts of violence, bombings, kidnapping, arson, poisoning during the 1930's. the play also looks at repercussions his actions had on the British population, a fear made worse as Mussolini was gearing up to enter the 2nd World War. thematically the play provides an opportunity to examine how an ethnic minority coming to a democratic first world nation, fleeing a murderous dictator, can be judged by the actions of a few thugs and then blossom to contribute to the social and political fabric of their adopted nation.
