Downsizing Of Hell, The
Synopsis:
It is hard to be a devil...when the executive director decides that the overgrown and bureaucratic Hell Limited needs to undergo a wide restructuring programme, the life of she devil Roxanne is changed for ever. She has only one day to show the boss she is up to the job, providing Hell with the requested quota of souls. But this is not as easy as it seems, when your work colleague stabs you in the back, when your boss bullies you, when your boyfriend submits you to exhausting sexual practices, and especially when mortals of today seem not to respond to any known rules of morality! The Downsizing of Hell is an hilarious comedy that will ask you to face the big question of today's world: Is there a place for religion? What is left of what we used to call 'morality? and more importantly, what is a devil going to do when she is fired from Hell?

La Venexiana
Synopsis:
Iulius, a young man from Milan, arrives in Venice, attracts the attention of Angela, a wealthy but bored widow, and discovers mutual temptation with Valeria, a beautiful but newly married woman. There quickly ensues a frantic quest on the part of both women to consolidate their uncontrollable lust. While both women experience the fulfilment of their desires, there remains something far deeper in the emotional aftermath than the momentary and boundless pleasure he seemed to personify. Dating from the mid-1500's, La Venexiana was rediscovered inside a manuscript in a library in the 1920s. The playwright's name was missing from the front page, hence the anonymous writer credit, the pages of the script had to be chemically recovered having faded over the centuries. It was quickly produced, immediately being hailed as a classic, and has gone on to become one of the cardinal points of reference in Italian theatre, both for the use of language and for its acute rendering of a society and its manners. It has also been made into a motion picture.
