Careless Rapture Dancing Years, The Glamorous Night King's RhapsodyCareless Rapture
Two brothers are in love with the same woman - Sir Robert alderney and his half-brother Michael. the object of their love is Penelope Lee a musical comedy star. Michael trails her around London from the beauty parlour, to her singing lesson and on to the theatre Royal, Dury Lane where she is appearing in the musical "the Rose Girl". Michael takes her to the Bank Holiday Fair on Hampstead Heath. Rodney gets posted to China and takes Penelope with him. In China she helps out with the Fu-Chin amateur Operatic Society. Michael sets off to China. He arrives but there is an earthquake and he heads for the mountains to escape the devastation. In the mountains he is kidnapped by bandits. He escapes - finds Penelope and makes off with her

In Vienna, before the First World War, penniless composer Rudi Kleber makes friends the schoolgirl niece of his landlady. He tells her that he will not propose marriage to anyone until she is old enough to have first refUSAl. Operetta star Maria Ziegler recognises his talent and gets a work by him put on - it is a great success. Maria and Rudi fall in love.. However he keeps his word to the child. Three years later, little Grete returns from finishing school and is now a highly attractive young woman Maria overhears Rudi redeem his promise but does not stay long enough to hear Grete's refUSAl. Maria marries Prince Metterling. the threat of Nazism is casting its shadow over europe when Rudi and Maria meet again. Rudi realises that her young son is in fact his son.

Anthony allen invents a working television. the radio manufacturers are horrified and offer him money to suppress his invention. Disillusioned he sets of on a cruise. the ship arrives in Krasnia. Anthony goes to the opera and performing is Militza the ex-mistress of the King of Krasnia - Stefan. Militza is leaving Krasnia and boards the cruise ship. Anthony occupies the state room on board and she demands to have it. But when they meet they fall in love. a plot to murder her is uncovered but not before a bomb goes off sinking the ship. Anthony saves Militza. Meanwhile there is another plot - one to overthrow King Stefan which is foiled by a band of loyal gypsies. To restore peace and stability to the country it is thought best that Stefan and Militza marry. She gives up Anthony to do this. Anthony returns to London where he watches the Royal Wedding on his television set.

the King of Murania dies. His ne'er do well son Nikki is in self imposed exile in Paris with his mistress Marta. He returns to Murania and his mother persuades him for the good of the country to marry. the Princess of Norseland - Christiane - is chosen. On their first meeting Nikki mistakes her for a maid. Nikki is angered when Christiane wants Marta exiled. However, she invites Marta to the Court Ball - just to see her rival. Nikki is angered again and dances the first dance with Marta - which scandalises everyone. Nikki and Christiane fall deeply in love. Some time later whilst Nikki is awaiting news of the imminent birth of his child with Christiane he enjoys himself with Marta at her villa. an angry mob break in and want to execute Marta but Christiane arrives and tells them that Marta is her dear friend. She later gives birth to a son. the government want rid of Nikki and persuade him to abdicate in favour of his son. Ten years later in Paris Nikki is informed by the Muranian ambassador that he will be executed if he ever sets foot in the country again. He hears that his son is to be crowned and secretly goes back to Murania. at the cathedral Christiane knows somehow that he is there. She drops a white rose on the alter steps and watches as Nikki comes out of hiding to retrieve it
