Steven Haworth's play Fernando was in the Open Fist Theatre's First Look Festival. He wrote [home] or the Quest for the Lost Tablet of Ur for Zoo District. He freely adapted Mikail Bulgakov's Flight for the Open Fist Theatre also in Los Angeles. In New York his play Little Fishes was produced by abingdon Theater, Dark age by Project 3 ensemble Theatre and the White Cave by Penumbra Productions. Two Tribes was performed in the Carnegie Mellon Showcase of New Plays. In New Zealand he was one of four playwrights contributing to the Big Kahuna project directed by Christine Sang. He has seen his plays developed by A.S.K. Theatreworks, echo Theatre, e.S.T. Los Angeles, abingdon Theatre, Circle West, and Carnegie Mellon Showcase of New Plays. Steven was also a founding member and associate artistic Director of the Project 3 ensemble Theatre in Soho, NYC, where he directed the Grand Ceremonial, by Fernando arabal and performed in many productions. as an actor he has performed in numerous productions in New York, Los Angeles and regional Theatre.

Synopsis:
Inspired by the same ancient tablet, but separated by a century of history, two women - Gertrude Bell, the Victorian english explorer and Dora, a Kansas housewife from 2004 - journey to the heart of Mesopotamia in search of meaning, redemption and the original Garden of eden. What they find is an absurd and phantasmagorical adventure which brings them beyond themselves and closer to. . .[ h o m e ]. Set in the playground of the mind, [ h o m e ] weaves Martha Graham-based movement, a Levantine soundscape, puppets and masks into an epic comedy of historical, political, religious and existential insurgency.

Dark Age

Synopsis:
In 13th Century england a monk chronicling his times writes down a legend about a wandering immortal Jew cursed by Christ, knowing it will cause harm. the monk at the moment of his own death finds himself cursed with immortality and wanders the world to find a way to die.

Fernando

Synopsis:
Zachariah Smythe, a widower whose wife committed suicide, an art scholar of no reputation and a recovering alcoholic, travels to Madrid to stake everything on the work of a missing and obscure Spanish artist, Fernando de la Cruz. enter Teresa, a beautiful and brilliant Spanish woman driven to fury by love and art. Flight

Little Fishes

Synopsis:
the 100 year-old Nels has been residing in a Minneapolis nursing home for three years, being tended to by, and matching wits with, the much younger Brad, one of the playfully sadistic employees. Brad is every bit as confused about his own future and death as Nels. Pipe, a Chippewa Native American, tries to reconcile the wreckage of his family with the lessons of his grandFather through caring for Nels and abuse of peyote. It snows as a kind of benediction but is Pipe as responsible as he believes?

Monkey In the Shade

Synopsis:
Sean, a young man, broke and disowned by his parents in Minnesota, hitchhikes down to Harvey, La to work in the oil fields in 1978. the clash of cultures tilts into violence when he learns of his new landlord's murderous sideline.

Two Tribes
