        Ancient Enmity

Ancient Enmity

Synopsis:
Ancient Enmity is a poetic biographical exploration of the life of German proto-Expressionist painter Paula Modersohn-Becker and poet Rainer Maria Rilke. Set in and around an artist colony in Worpswede, Germany, and Paris, in the early twentieth century, this story captures the life of an extraordinary and visionary artist poised on the brink of modernism, whose life chances and choices are determined both by the world she inhabits, and the one she discovers.
