Flak House         Ghost Dancer         Honestly Abe         That Other Woman

Flak House

Synopsis:
Hence FLAK HOUSES, English manor houses, run by the American Red Cross, where war-weary fliers were sent for a week to help prevent combat fatigue. No war allowed! All men wore civilian clothes, played baseball, basketball, sang and danced for a few days: But then, hanging over their heads like the Sword of Damocles, was the knowledge that in a week they could be dead. "Come on: Let's sing and dance and the hell with the war!" But for some, it wasn't that easy. Even a rollicking Flak House, Red Cross girls, big bands, great songs, jitterbugs and swing dancing, or a heart wrenching romance with an English girl could not make them forget that death was out there. . .waiting.

Ghost Dancer

Synopsis:
What are the forces that drive a militant revolutionary, forces that make a person so devoted to a 'cause' they will sacrifice their own life and the lives of those they love? Set in a Cuba, "Ghost Dancer" is ripe with powerful conflict, rich with a touch of Latin music and dance, and as you can imagine when dealing with revolutionaries, driven by dynamic roles. Like a Greek tragedy, it may be a little edgy, a little provocative, but is relevant to modern social problems. Karen Romero, whose mother was Native American , is a militant revolutionary. When the American Indian movements in the U.S. lost their passion, she found a new quest: Cuban liberation. To break into the upper echelon of a Liberation Movement, she sought out and married Tony Romero whose father and grandfather died as ardent leaders of the movement. She assumed that Tony would follow in their revolutionary footsteps. But he had inherited his father's name, not his passions, and although at Karen's urging, he had tried to carry on their passions, a year in a Cuban prison had had him realize that the world of militant violence was not for him. Now, all he wants from life is his job to come home to the woman and baby he loves. And, perhaps, some salsa music. But Karen's determination drives them both to the brink of destruction.

Honestly Abe

Synopsis:
Honestly Abe features Abraham Lincoln when he was a teenager in Indiana, the least known but the most formative--and entertaining and joyous--period of his life. This was a time when Abraham was in conflict with his father and when his stepmother had an indelible influence on his life, a time when he had his first taste of "lawyering," a time when he fell in love with Kate Roby, and when the loss of his sister, Sally, his last blood relative, was a devastating blow! But his passionate vow of revenge turned into one of his most celebrated pranks.
