Holmes, This is Where We are (or take arms against a sea of troubles) explores the place at which movement and language intersect, contradict, collide, and support each other. Drawing from her studies of developmental and evolutionary patterns, This Is Where We are illuminates and exposes the fear and uncertainty of losing touch, an ongoing theme in her work in improvisation and as a somatic educator. This is a place where dance and words insist themselves, unwinding personal narratives and collective myths, amplifying the non-linearity of our own evolution
