Synopsis:
A lonely child with an eye for adventure. A wronged stepmother. A magical mirror. A poisoned apple. A brass band of musical miners. . .This playful and hugely imaginative take on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale is set in our own Yorkshire landscape, with a pit wheel doubling as a musical stage for a group of trumpet-toting miners, and the scorned stepmother recast for the celebrity ageas fading diva Mystique Stardust.
