John-Michael was born in Melbourne but lived for 17 years in Los Angeles. He is now back in Melbourne and lives with partner alfie. He started work as a junior reporter on the "Sunraysia Daily and then got a part on a children's television programme "adventure Island" and also wrote the scripts. Whilst in Los Angeles he reported for the Australian programme "Good Morning Australia" and became well known for his flamboyant style and catty remarks. His first musical was "Shout" followed by "Dusty"

Synopsis:
DUSTY - the Original Pop Diva tells the story of Mary O'Brien who the world knew as Dusty Springfield. In the 1960s Dusty Springfield takes the entertainment world by storm with a score of hits, a top TV show and a legion of fans. She was the most influential British female artist of the 60's. Known as the White Lady of Soul, she was responsible for bringing the Motown sound to the UK. But the success she wanted is hollow and real happiness eludes her.
