Cabin With A View, A

Synopsis:
the year is 1959. the place is University of Wisconsin-Madison. Lucy has recently been 'pinned' by Percy White and seems well on her way to the proper degree for a young lady of that era - her M.R.S. However, that summer she takes a trip out West to the Lazy Rapids Ranch and meets George, a young non-conformist who, along with his uncle, shakes up her very notion of what to expect out of life. Will she choose the safe and predictable path with Percy, or break the mold with George? Only time will tell. Complete with a range of sounds from the fifties from girl groups, folk songs, to cowboy music - a Cabin with a View is a wonderful new romantic musical comedy adapted from e.M. Forster's Room with a View, with a very American touch.

Jacob's Pillow

Synopsis:
the story of the Stone of Destiny (also known as Jacob's Pillow, the Stone of Scone, and many other names) is a multi-faceted legend that extends back to biblical times. the stone is reputed to have originated in the desert with Jacob himself, travelled from there to Jerusalem, from there to Spain, Ireland, and finally Scotland where it found a place of honour in Scone - and, once there, Scottish Kings were crowned upon it. In 1296, Edward the First conquered Scotland - and his greatest prize was the Stone of Scone - Jacob's Pillow! a coronation throne was constructed to accommodate the stone (the British Monarch wouldn't deign to actually sit on a rock itself). Jacob's Pillow stayed in england for the next six hundred and fifty-plus years. So - why is this history important? It is important to know the background of this 340 pound stone because it all the more remarkable that four teenage students from Scotland were able to walk into Westminster abbey on Christmas Day in 1950 and return this stone of destiny to Scotland.

Just So

Synopsis:
the story opens with the animal parents crankily telling their children to go to sleep and to stop asking so many questions about things in the world - Oh My Best Beloved. the storyteller arrives, upset with the parents because they've forgotten the stories he once told them, and they've also forgotten how important it is to tell the children these stories. the storyteller then proceeds to tell the stories to the children, and in the process help the parents remember those same stories. He tells the animals gathered how the Kangaroo got such long legs Down Under, how the Rhino got such lumpy, itchy skin from the Orangutan Chef, how the elephant got its trunk I've Got a Nose , and why the Cat always walks alone, the Singing Magic, and Purr. and last of all, he helps the animals remember the Sound of a Sunrise, a beautiful sound indeed. Just So is a delightful musical, bringing new life into Rudyard Kipling's classic tales.

Muskie Love

Synopsis:
Muskie Love. This laugh-a-minute fish tale is a comic, contemporary take on Shakespeare's Much ado about Nothing-set on the shores of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Ben and Bea are rival fishing guides, both avowedly single. . . and happy that way. Through the playful scheming of Bea's Uncle Roy, (helped along by his daughter, Sarah, and her boyfriend, Claude), Ben and Bea are soon lured into a romantic trap. Contrary to their sworn hatred of each other, our couple finds themselves inexplicably drawn together. Throw in a feckless Fish and Game Warden, (DNR Doug), the ever-present Wisconsin love of the Packers (including an ode to Brett Favre), a few jokes from Roy, and a wonderful blend of tuneful songs - and you've got Muskie Love - a sure crowd-pleaser for any audience.
