Cockatoo Hall
Synopsis:
A musical farce set in a NSW farming community where two local lads pull down the old Community Hall so that a new one can be built with the insurance. They find a large quantity of marijuana hidden in the roof, which they assume belongs to the local (long-established) hippies, but actually belongs to the local real estate agent. Misunderstandings multiply as `alternative' and `traditional' ideas vie over the design of the new hall and the insurance turns out to have lapsed so other means are needed to find the money to rebuild.
