Synopsis:
Olga, a poet from Russia who had fled her country when she was a young woman, is undergoing brain surgery in a Paris hospital, following a car accident. Her love stories told in flashback and set in Moscow, New York, Berlin and Paris, reflect milestones of the 20th Century, such as the end of the Soviet regime, the 1968 movements, and the collapse of the Berlin wall. . . Personal and political collide.
