Ethan first got involved in theatre when he was 14, playing Sir Edward Ramsay in his middle schools production of The King and I. Shortly afterward, he joined the theatre department of his highschool and never looked back. He went on to perform in over 20 productions at school, including improv shows with the troupe he founded, as well as concerts with the schools acapella group Echo Effect, of which he was a founding member. Some of his favorite roles included the Interpreter in David Ives Arabian nights, Agwe in Once On This Island, and Lenny in Rumors. It wasnt until his senior year when he played Gordon Schwinn in William Finn's A New Brain that he knew he would be in the theatre the rest of his life. His school district had won the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network and National School Boards Association Award, and as a result, William Finn came and gave guidance to the schools production. Working on that role under the advice and direction of Finn sparked an undying obsession with acting. After high school Ethan attended Ithaca College, where he studied acting in their BFA program. He was incredibly involved in on-campus theater and student film, including State of Mind, a senior thesis project where he played a twisted figment of a childs imagination, and an independent short film, Pimp Laundry, by local production company Taughannock Entertainment. Midway through his sophomore year, Ethan left to pursue different and more intensive acting training. After a brief period in Chicago where he garnered more stage and screen experience, he transfered to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, where he tirelessly worked on his craft. Currently he is working in and enjoying New York!
