Concrete Jungle Full of Wild Cars, A
Synopsis:
Fleeing war-torn Sierra Leone, three teenagers arrive in 1990s London. As they attempt to fit into alien surroundings, an unexpected gift draws the two worlds together. Will their parents find their brother, forced to fight as a child soldier in the war? Written by Mariama Ives-Moiba, this hard-hitting yet heart-warming and funny play brings to light the impact of civil war on young people. Scenes of fighting in Sierra Leone are juxtaposed with those of the teenagers in London, resulting in a moving play about finding a home wherever you are. Award-winning.
