D.C. Jackson's plays include My Romantic History (Bush Theatre/Sheffield Theatres in association with Birmingham Rep) which won a Fringe First Award, as well as The Wall, The Ducky and The Chooky Brae, a trilogy of plays written for Borderline Theatre, Threeway (Invisible Dot/Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and an adaptation of The Marriage of Figaro for the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh. He has been Pearson Playwright in Residence at the Royal Court Theatre and has taken part in the Old Vic's 24 hour Plays Celebrity Gala. My Romantic History has proved phenomenally successful internationally and has been produced in Australia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia and Sweden and the US. This year productions are also taking place in France, China and Japan. For radio D. C. Jackson has written My Romantic History (BBC Radio 4). For television, he has written an episode of Series 3 of Fresh Meat (Objective Productions/Channel 4). He is currently also under commission to the Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh, and the National Theatre of Scotland and is co-writing a feature for Warp Films.

Cameo, The

Synopsis:
John Dumfries MP has lost his seat and hes hoping a walk on part on Scotlands top soap Gallus Palace will rehabilitate his tarnished public image. Angela Laing is Gallus Palaces Grande Dame  shes a hard drinking, hard smoking national treasure who has political ambitions of her own. Stuck in between them is Kate Harper; the over worked, under valued producer trying to keep the show on time, on budget and on air. The Cameo is a comedy about politics, show business and the thin membrane that separates the two.

It's Christmas Day in Stewarton and Irene Gordon's struggling to get in the festive spirit. Her 18 year-old daughter Norma's just had a baby, her ex-husband Gordon's just had a stroke and her eldest Barry's having a break down. even the Dr Who Christmas special is disappointing. If this was a wonderful life she would receive some angelic intervention - instead she gets Rab McGuire and an escaped chicken that won't be stuffed.

Synopsis:
Company Policy is a screwball comedy set in a unisex toilet. Sally Mallow (like the Marsh) has just joined Jiffy Corp. She likes everything about her new job except for the bathroom arrangements: she's got a secretary, a bigger desk than ever and she might even buy herself a pony. the last thing on her mind is an office romance but her colleagues Dex Sexington and his friend Randy Burley have other ideas.

Two years is a long time in a teenager's life. Michelle is home from university to spend some time with her great gran while she can. . . Minnie Malloy is dying. In spite of the circumstances she's glad to be back - university isn't all it's cracked up to be. Same people, same pubs, same Claire's accessories - Michelle isn't having the experience she was promised. Rab is back from Cambridge and now Stewarton feels alien to him. Which is funny because Rab feels like he's at university on the moon with Martians. Norma has left school and is sweeping up hair in Krazy Kutz while she works out what to do. It isn't as easy as it seems - working out what to do, not sweeping up hair!

Synopsis:
Andrew MacPherson has many legitimate business interests: a security firm, taxis, a couple of Renfrewshire bus routes, several pubs and even a secret shareholding in Rangers. Johnny 'the bastard' Glendenning is the self styled Tony Blair of Ulster loyalist gunmen. In a farmhouse far out in the wilds of Ayrshire they are on a deadly collision course. Caught between them are a farmer, his mother, two thugs, a sleazy tabloid hack and some pigs with a taste for human flesh. Kill Johnny Glendenning is a murderous comedy of the Glasgow underworld, taking aim at the tabloid celebrity and macho glamour of the gangster life.
