Tovya Jacobs has written and directed plays that have been produced from Seattle to Switzerland. After years of living and working in four different countries, he settled in Los Angeles, where, in addition to his own projects he works as a script-doctor, a teacher, and produces the work of emerging writers. Kafka in Bed made its Los Angeles debut in 2014. The Madwoman of Chaillot debuted in 2017, the first complete translation of Jean Giraudoux's classic French farce. Singularity was completed in 2017, critically acclaimed philosophical epic about the future of technology. Recent projects include five plays produced, three commissions, four short films, several articles and reviews, and an experimental opera.

Synopsis:
Moishe is having an ethical crisis. As part of his job as Mashgiach, the person charged with keeping a kitchen Kosher, he has killed thousands of insects and these little murders are getting on his conscience. When he goes to the rabbi to help sort things out, he is plunged into a waking nightmare where he has to confront his guilt, avoid ruining his dream date, and maybe live a little for once.

Synopsis:
Finally, after 75 years, the first complete English translation of this classic French comedy. Though the play is well known through its adaptation (that freely changes and edits the original,) the Theatre Factory Studio was not satisfied, and commissioned this faithful translation to set the record straight. Now Giraudoux can be understood in all his bizarre, poetic glory -- reminding the world that his "Madwoman" truly is a masterpiece of the 20th century. In the play, the madwomen of Paris form a plan to save the world by faking a discovery of oil, luring the greediest businessmen into their basement, and locking the door. This classic farce is a critique on business, capitalism, and what passes for sanity in the modern world.
