Michal Jacot became involved in community theatre in his early 20's, and that love for the craft led to playwriting. Most of his scripts can be found through Eldridge Publishing. His script You Know The Old Slaying was presented with the Excellence in Playwriting award in 2001 by the Community Theatre association of Michigan. He has also written numerous short stories and children's books, and wrote a humorous column on community theatre for three years. Michal enjoys fueling the creative writing flames in kids, and heavily promotes the importance of reading to them. He has developed a unique interactive program where he writes a book using ideas and suggestions from children. Michal has presented this program since 1988 at schools and libraries around the state.He is also an accomplished cartoonist, and his cartoons have appeared in Cerebus, Comics Buyer's Guide, and The Jack Kirby Collector. Michal lives in Michigan with his wife and two sons.

Going For Broke
Synopsis:
The final fate of the Webb family! Mrs. Webb returns from her faked-death self-exile, with a surprise: a new husband and a new stepson, possibly the most obnoxious, annoying man alive. When it's revealed that he is the sole heir to the vast Webb fortune, the siblings scheme to either get rid of him or join him in some unholy matrimony. The schemes get crazier and crazier until it's all wrapped up with one surprise after another in another one of those twist endings.

Going For Broke is the third in A trilogy of plays (after Tangled Webbs And Putting On Heirs), but can be produced independently.

Happy Birthday, Dear Grandpa
Synopsis:
Grandpa is a crabby, miserable old senior citizen being taken care of by his three grandchildren. Grandpa loves to make life miserable for them, like telling the neighbors that they're trying to kill him for the "inheritance" ($642 and a postcard collection). So when Grandpa drops dead, the grandkids realize they're all the #1 suspects. an incompetent detective enters, trying to nail them all on murder. There's one surprise after another in this screwball comedy.

Money Talks
Synopsis:
adam Cogswell is a likeable guy, but he's obsessed with money. He thinks that money would solve all of his problems. Putting On Heirs
Synopsis:
The weirdo Webb family is back, and this time its mother Ernestine's turn in the spotlight. She is overwhelmed by the stresses of handling the family fortune, as well as trying to keep her spoiled adult children in line. So she fakes her own death, which sends her children on a frenzied search for her will to ensure they get their hands on the money. add a subplot with a hapless burglar invading the home, and you've got a lightning-paced comedy with quirky characters and another twist ending.

Tangled Webbs
Synopsis:
The ultra-rich and ultra-eccentric Webb family is preparing for a family wedding when a surprise guest arrives: Donald, the long-lost brother of the family. Instead of welcoming him to the family, the greedy siblings scheme to keep his identity a secret and drive him away (because, after all, why split the family fortune with him?) The fast pace and twist ending makes this one fun for everyone.

You Know The Old Slaying
Synopsis:
a traveling theatre group is presenting a play when one of their members is murdered. The remaining cast, with the audience's help, has to deduce who among them is the culprit. a question-and-answer session with the audience brings out new clues. at the show's end, the audience votes for who they think is the killer . . . and thanks to five alternate endings, the majority of the audience is always right! It can be a different show every night, and it's an excellent opportunity for actors to showcase their improvisational skills.
