Patricia Ann Jellicoe, playwright and director, born 15 July 1927; died 31 August 2017 was an experimental playwright who worked in the "Theater of Demonstration" where action is considered more important than words. Her visceral approach to Drama emphasised movement and sounds rather than language in its traditional communicative sense. Jellicoe's plays reflected her belief that humans are ruled more by emotion than intellect.
