Synopsis:
a new theatrical spectacle from the all-female performance troupe LaVa. Using feats of intense skill and physical strength, the company explore geologic phenomena such as rock and volcano formation, punctuated equilibrium theory, and magnetic polarity reversal. acrobatic "tricks" illustrate the interconnection between natural geologic phenomena and bodies in motion. the work includes music, video, dance, circus, and spoken text.
