Leigh Johnstone is twenty one and is an actor, director and writer. Having joined the National Youth Theatre in 2005 he went on to work with them as an assistANT Director in 2007, working with young people on their residential Drama courses, therefore responsible for their Dramatic training as well as pastoral care. Since then he has taken a keen interest in community Drama and outreach work and has worked with a number of different Theatre companies who work with a wide range of communities. He currently works with Outside edge; a London based Theatre Company who work from the perspective of creating Theatre and Drama work with diverse groups affected by substance misuse. He delivers Drama workshops to members who are part of the Theatre Company as well as Drama training and awareness courses to professionals who work with those affected, such as care workers. Recently he has been appointed an ambassador for the National Youth Theatre whose main role is to promote a new scheme by Arts Council england, helping to get more young people involved in Theatre nationwide. Leigh also works for Blue apple Theatre Company, who work with adults with learning difficulties, giving them the chance to explore their creativity by taking part in weekly Drama workshops which he helps to run. Leigh's recent credits include, Cemetery Junction (Film) for Sony Pictures, Hamlet (ITV), Sparkle (Music Video). He has also done various voice over work including corporate films and a radio Drama. Leigh has currently finished writing his first play, Liquid Dreams which will be staged in Portsmouth and London in March. He is in the middle of writing his second play List 99 as well as a long monologue.

Liquid Dreams
Synopsis:
Liquid Dreams is the self pitying journey of one young girl Greta, and her struggle to find a remedy for a peculiar illness that seems oh so to familiar' When Greta wakes to hear her parents arguing yet again, she makes it her mission to help resolve her family's problems. It becomes apparent that her Mother has been acting very strangely and Greta comes to the conclusion that her Mother needs some sort of help, a cure. On a journey that takes her into the city, where she becomes way out of her depth, the task of finding a cure begins to take its strain and the road on which Greta is walking becomes uneven and dangerous. With a physical Chorus that creates the life onstage, Liquid Dreams has the ability to mould itself into all sorts of situations.
Notes:
the play is kept minimal. the set (if Any) consist of A few chairs And maybe A table. the Acting is clear, crisp And precise. the play should have no specific relevance to Any time period or place. the chorus should speak individually, unless stated otherwise. they should move with fluidity And precision, And emotion should only be conveyed if specifically mentioned. Where there is large chorus scenes, the Acting should be sharp And the lines should overlap.
