Jon Atli Jonasson was born in Reykjavik in 1972. He is a playwright and novelist. His plays have been shown at The National Theatre in Iceland, Reykjavik City Theatre and at Vesturport. His plays have also been shown in Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Russia. He is one of the founders of Mindgroup, a Scandinavian collective of writers and directors that work in the realm of experimental theatre. 'The Deep' is Jon Atli´s tenth play
