1.4 For Copy         Blud         Drowned Girl, The         Snout         Tammy

1.4 For Copy

Synopsis:
1.4 for a copy is a play based on the true story of how my parents met and fell in love on an illegal CB radio in Dagenham in 1981. Long before the internet dating phenomena came CB radio.

Notes:
I was given a period of WalesLab development from National Theatre Wales and began working with James Williams in 2013 to help realise the potential of the idea. We spent time looking at CB radio as a platform for performance and then were given further R&D from Arts Council Wales to look at marrying the text and the platform. One of the most interesting things that come out of the R&D was the science of radio waves and the potential to relive these stories again. I am currently working on a new draft of the script and was recently awarded a bursery to work with a technologist to develop a piece of kit or platform for the audience to experience it like a CBer as well as a theatre goer. - playwright website
